- [ ] Review `memory/` — anything from yesterday worth moving to MEMORY.md?
- [ ] `git status` on workspace — any uncommitted changes lingering?
- [ ] Scan for stale files or broken state in workspace
- [ ] **Token budget check** — use `session_status` when available; fallback to `openclaw status --usage --json` and alert if any provider shows ≤20% remaining. If neither works, log "budget check skipped" in `memory/YYYY-MM-DD.md`.
