# TOOLS.md - Local Notes

Skills define _how_ tools work. This file is for _your_ specifics — the stuff that's unique to your setup.

## What Goes Here

Things like:

- Camera names and locations
- SSH hosts and aliases
- Preferred voices for TTS
- Speaker/room names
- Device nicknames
- Anything environment-specific

## Web Search Strategy

**Primary:** Brave Search API (2k queries/month free tier)
**Fallback:** Stealth Search (`skills/stealth-search`) — scrapes DuckDuckGo HTML, zero cost, no rate limits

When Brave quota exhausted, use:

## Home Assistant

- **URL:** http://192.168.1.24:8123
- **Token:** stored in config (`skills.entries.homeassistant.env`)
- **"Stue"** = living room (Danish)

### Key Entities

- Lights: `light.kitchen`, `light.living_room`, `light.office`, `light.bedroom`, `light.hall`, `light.kids_room` (+ lamps like `light.kitchenlamp`, `light.officelamp`, etc.)
- Climate: `climate.stue`
- Media: `media_player.shield`, `media_player.bedroom_tv`, `media_player.stue_speaker`
- Vacuum: Roborock S7 (`switch.roborock_s7_*`)
- Camera: `binary_sensor.front_door_*` (person/vehicle/animal/motion)

### Cameras

- front_door → Reolink, motion/person/vehicle/animal detection + floodlight

### NAS

- alex_ds213 → Synology DS213 (2 drives)
- alex_ds414 → Synology DS414 (4 drives)

## Google OAuth (Gmail + Calendar)

- **Client ID/Secret + Refresh Token** stored in config (`skills.entries.google.env`)
- **Backup file:** `/home/alex/.clawdbot/secrets/google-oauth.json`

## Why Separate?

Skills are shared. Your setup is yours. Keeping them apart means you can update skills without losing your notes, and share skills without leaking your infrastructure.
